Using their existing primary head rig and resaw that is thin kerf technology, computer controlled and laser sighted, along with the arrival of their new advanced state of the art thin kerf Brewco Saw. This new advanced equipment allows less waste and a more uniform cut, for a far superior finished product. Proforh is one of the few mills in Central America that has Galeras (covered sheds that keep their wood out of the rain and sun) until it is dried in their modern kiln dryer which allows proper drying of all their wood.
Wood Flooring ProductsQuality Control is Priority One at Proforh Floors! Every piece of wood goes through a series of quality control checkpoints. This starts at the computerized head rig where logs are cut according to our different grades. Next comes their computerized laser sighted edger bandsaw where wood is again graded to be cut for its best usage. It is then passed to their green chain where it is cut to length, pre-graded and marked before it enters a chemical dip to retard the effects of blue stain. Proforh has one of the few mills that goes this extra step in ensuring the quality of its wood. The wood is then stacked and sent to Galeras (covered sheds) to protect it from the elements and allow its moisture content to equalize before it enters a computerized American made kiln dryer. After leaving the dryer it is again graded before moving for further processing and packaging for export. Proforh has the reputation for producing the highest quality because of the attention paid to quality control.
